DeltaCode is licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0.

  • Use it — commercially or personally, free of charge.
  • Modify it — fork it, change it, build on it.
  • Distribute it — share binaries and source, under the same license terms for the Apache-2.0 portions.
  • No warranty — provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.

The fine print

  • “DeltaCode” is a trademark of WEHNIT STUDIOS and is not granted under the license. You can build on the code; you can’t call your fork “DeltaCode”.
  • Third-party components used by DeltaCode (React, Ink, and the MCP SDK) are MIT-licensed and compatible with this project’s licensing.
  • The Delta Free Models proxy is a separate, private service; it is not part of the open-source repository.

Your data

DeltaCode is a local application. Session files, configuration, and the device identifier live on your machine under ~/.delta/. With Delta Free Models, prompts are sent to Z.AI for processing under Z.AI’s terms; with a BYOK provider, prompts go to that provider.
